SLOW DOWN & ENJOY YOUR FOOD (Eat with your opposite hand)

26 Mar

BUSY BUSY BUSY! We all seem to live busy lives and this is apparent in our eating as well.  Slowing down your eating WILL give your stomach time to tell your brain it’s full a lot sooner than if you shovel food in as quickly as possible.

TRY THIS TIP:   Eat with your opposite hand.  As strange as this sounds, it works.  For all you overeaters out there, or if you are always scarfing down your food way too quickly, slow it down with this technique.  You will become fuller – faster.

A couple of days ago I posted on Facebook 6 tips to help you get your splits.  Some of you have asked what specific stretches should be focused on. The following stretching routine is tailored specifically for the purpose of achieving the ability to perform both front splits and side splits. It consists of the following exercises:

1. lower back stretches
2. lying buttock stretch
3. groin & inner-thigh stretch
4. seated calf stretch
5. seated hamstring stretch
6. seated inner-thigh stretch
7. psoas stretch
8. quadricep stretch
9. lying V stretch

This info & more available in my book “Anatomy of Stretching”.  Visit http://www.craigramsayfitness.com to order your autographed copy and be on your way to discovering your splits.

One of the main reasons I wrote the book “Anatomy of Stretching” is because I want everyone to have the chance to experience the freedom of movement the Broadway Dancer has. Too many people to count have reached out to me over the years with a goal to achieve the splits. I’ve developed routines that will help get you there. Visit my website and pick up your copy of my book and achieve your splits.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

“If we all were responsible meat eaters (organic, humane, and know where we are getting our animal products), then we would not only be healthier and more chemically balanced, but we would be more energetically in tune with our planet.” — Craig Ramsay as heard on The Ricki Lake Show May 2013

WET BAR

If you are always traveling to other far away kingdoms and lands, it is easy to forget some of your magical product potions!  If your shape is shifting into an unrecognizable animal, this  mystic trick will transform your hair back into the divine “do” it was born to be! Just “raise the bar”… a wet bar of soap!  Use it to sculpt and style! Men also love the matte finish it gives their strapping styles.  Now that’s a look you can wear…woof!

It’s St Paddy’s Day so GO GREEN Eggs and NO Ham.

Green Eggs With No Ham!

24-44g protein, 255 calories.  2-3 eggs with 1/2 cup spinach and 1/3 cup mushrooms.  Skip the Ham – you already have enough protein provided from your eggs.  Plus the piggies are some of my favorite animals at the Harrow Fair.

MYSTIFYING SKIN PROTECTION

Did you know that Green Tea is also good for your hair and skin? It helps protect against harmful UVA rays. Just keep a little spray bottle of it and mist on your face and hair throughout the day for a little added protection!
